After building a trellis, we started transplanting the young sugar snaps from the greenhouse into the garden. This season we constructed a taller and sturdier trellis because the sugar snaps outgrew last season’s trellis. The sugar snaps are growing this season in the section where the root vegetables grew. This technique of moving legume vegetables to the root vegetable section is part of our crop rotation practice at the Veggie-Bed.
