From our cozy corner

From our cozy corner at the Veggie-Bed, we’re buzzing with excitement! You see, we’ve got a whole bunch of tasks lined up, and one of our top priorities is prepping the legume beds. It’s like a little dance we do every year, following a 4-year crop rotation routine. Let me break it down for you:

Imagine the legumes as our green-clad dancers. Last season, they were grooving where the root vegetables grew the season before. But now, after a 4-year hiatus, it’s time for them to sashay back to their original spot. So, we’re rolling out the green carpet (well, more like loosening up the soil) for their grand return!

Before the legumes hit the dance floor (or rather, the soil), we’ve got to tidy up. We’re talking about those pesky weeds that decided to crash the party. We plucked ’em out, one by one, like overenthusiastic gatecrashers.

Next up, we sprinkle some compost magic. It’s like giving the soil a warm hug. The legumes will love it! Plus, it’s eco-friendly and Mother Earth approves.

Now, picture this: a trellis rising like a graceful partner, ready to waltz with our legumes. We’re setting it up for our delicious sugar snaps. They’re the stars of our garden show, and they deserve their own spotlight.

But wait, there’s a twist! We’re not sending our sugar snap seeds straight to the outdoor stage. Nope, they’re getting a cozy indoor gig first. We’ll pamper them, sing lullabies (okay, maybe not), and watch them sprout. When the weather outside is just right. Bam! They’ll pirouette into the soil.

So, there you have it—the Veggie-Bed Chronicles! Stay tuned for more gardening adventures.
