Organic Soil Preparation for Strong and Healthy Plants

Now that we have a garden plan, it’s time to amend the soil and prepare it for planting. During the last season, we kept the compost bin churning, which left us with high-quality organic compost. We lightly work the compost into the soil, not going more than three inches deep. After that, we topcoat the compost with an all-natural organic cow manure product like Black Kow. This application of compost and manure provides nutrients, moisture, and microbes for the beds, which will help the plants grow strong and healthy. Once we’re done, we’ll leave the garden alone until it’s time to plant. Happy gardening!
